As a woman living abroad, one of the great aspects of today’s technology is being able to easily stay in touch. Whether I am homesick or wondering about the secret ingredient of American Apple Pie, forums linking people living abroad have been oh-so-hopeful.
One of those sites, ExpatWomen.com, is a wealth of knowledge, help and contacts. This site would have been amazingly helpful when I lived abroad for the first time as an exchange student in Germany. Or even five years ago when I went from an active social calender to living with my husband and dog on a isolated 65-acre farm in Argentina. Obviously, for me, I find their collaborative spirit of bringing the knowledge of the many females that have ventured abroad together a fabulous step for the future. For the next lady that considers moving to a foreign land it will be that much easier.
So, with that in mind, I would like to wish ExpatWomen.com a very merry 3rd Happy Birthday! May there be many years in the future of global female energy working together to expand the gift that living abroad gives.
